The Prime Minister of Bashkiria commented visit of Chinese leader to Moscow

Prime Minister of Bashkiria Andrey Nazarov commented on his social media on the visit of Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping to Moscow, which began on March 20.

“The political distance between Beijing and Moscow has shrunk to a record high. This is the first foreign visit by a Chinese leader since his re-election.

Washington pushed for such an accelerated rapprochement, choosing a policy of pressure, threats, and ultimatums and declaring a trade war on the PRC: the Biden administration continues to impose sanctions against Chinese industry and exports and imposes a ban on the sale of electronics equipment, chips, and related technologies to the Chinese.

The United States is acting in the same way concerning our country. As a result, two superpowers (Russia and China) with the most powerful economic and natural resources have united. They are building their relations without regard to the White House attacks.

We are pleased to be part of this large-scale partnership project. Our republic is one of the few that has been actively working with China since 1999, when we signed an agreement with Liaoning province on trade, economic, scientific, and technical cooperation. For more than 20 years, we have significantly increased our contacts: today, Bashkortostan cooperates with five significant provinces in China.

Mutual trade reached $985.7 million in 2021, 5% higher than the previous year.

China took 1st place in the foreign trade turnover of Bashkiria in 2022. The trade turnover bar has been raised to $1.2 billion. Exports amounted to $871 million, and imports - $361 million. Since December 16, 2022, a representative of Bashkortostan has been working for us at the Russian Trade Mission in China. He assists Bashkir businesses in China, including helping to establish business relationships, comply with local laws, and find markets and distribution channels. We are working on an official delegation leaving for China this year.

Chinese entrepreneurs contributed their capital to nine Bashkir enterprises. Delegations from both sides are actively exchanging experience in various areas. We were able to significantly expand contacts in the areas of ecology, trade, industry, construction, medicine, science, sports, and journalism.

At the moment, 98 citizens of the PRC are studying in the universities of Bashkortostan, and Bashkir universities cooperate with dozens of prestigious higher educational institutions in China, where students of our republic study and train.

I am sure Xi Jinping's visit to Moscow will set a new pace for developing Russian-Chinese relations. The whole world is watching the upcoming talks between the two leaders, without exaggeration," writes the Head of the Bashkir Cabinet.
