Road map to strengthen cooperation will be created as a result of the visit to Iran

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, met with the Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Reza Fatemi-Amin in Tehran.

Radiy Khabirov and Seyyed Reza Fatemi-Amin discussed issues of industrial cooperation, the exchange of competencies, and the introduction of new forms of collaboration between Bashkortostan and Iran.

Following the example of organizing foreign economic activity of the republic with foreign countries, Radiy Khabirov suggested creating a permanent working group. It will include specialists from Iran and Bashkortostan.

The volume of trade between Iran and Bashkortostan is about $100 million. Radiy Khabirov expressed confidence that this indicator has the potential for a significant increase.

A cluster of crewless aircraft has been organized in Bashkortostan. The republic produces buses, concrete trucks, electric buses, semi-trailers, and trailers. There are many mutually beneficial areas of cooperation.

Radiy Khabirov instructed the government of Bashkortostan to form a "road map" following the results of his official visit to Iran. The parties will reflect concrete steps to strengthen cooperation in all areas.

“I set the task to prepare this document within two weeks. It will be large and will affect many areas. Iran is very interested in our technologies in oilfield equipment and the installation of units for oil purification systems. After the meeting, they also offered cooperation in pharmaceuticals, the construction business, and the implementation of large infrastructure road facilities,” the Head of Bashkortostan said.

Radiy Khabirov emphasized that a direct flight Ufa-Tehran-Ufa is needed to develop tourism and business activity between Bashkortostan and Iran. Ufa International Airport has already received permission from the Federal Air Transport Agency to organize air traffic between the capital of Bashkortostan and Tehran. A partner airline is being searched.
