“We discussed the development of cooperation in the field of petrochemicals, supplies of oilfield equipment, and the provision of oilfield services with Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Seyyed Reza Fatemi-Amin. We proposed to exchange experiences between the universities of Ufa and Tehran. Our Petroleum University has significant competencies in this regard. The Iranian side is interested in cooperation in mechanical engineering, timber processing, pharmaceuticals, and construction business.
Tourism issues were discussed at the meeting. I understand that developing private travel and business activities will be easier if there is a direct flight from Ufa to Tehran and back. We are currently looking for a partner. It is essential that the Ufa airport was included in the list of the Federal Air Transport Agency, from where flights to Tehran are allowed. We agreed on the participation of the Iranian delegation in our exhibition “Gas. Oil. Technologies" in May 2023.
As a result of the meeting, I am convinced that the Iranian side is pleased with our session and visit. They know Bashkortostan well and understand our economy and the high-tech level of our industry.
We must discuss all of today's developments in a working group format, on the establishment of which we have agreed with the Iranian side.
I asked that a person responsible for Iran be determined for us. Bashkortostan's First Deputy Prime Minister, Rustam Muratov, will head the working group.
This is a very effective tool for interaction and implementation of joint projects,” Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov wrote in his social media.
