Memory perpetuating of first President of Bashkiria Decree published
A decree of The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, on perpetuating the memory of Murtaza Rakhimov, the republic’s first president, was published on the official Internet portal of legal information of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
As noted in the document, Murtaza Rakhimov is an outstanding political and public figure who has contributed considerably to the so Bashkortostan's social and economic developmentBashkir Republican Boarding School No. 3 and the Bashkir Gymnasium in the village of Mrakovo will be named after him.
In addition, the republic’s government should make proposals for naming one of the republican educational institutions after Murtaza Rakhimov and the administration of Ufa - one of the central streets of the region's capital.
A monument to the first president of Bashkortostan and a memorial plaque will also appear in Ufa on the house where Murtaza Rakhimov lived and a museum in his native village of Tavakanovo, Kugarchinsky district.
The National Museum of the Republic will begin collecting a fund of materials on the activities of the first president of Bashkiria. By the 90th anniversary of his birth (in 2024), they will release a biographical encyclopedia about him, Bashinform News Agency informed earlier.
