15 instruments of the Regional Export Standard have been introduced in Bashkiria, Prime Minister of the Republic Andrey Nazarov said at a meeting on the implementation of the national project "International Cooperation and Export", which was held by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Andrey Belousov.
“Now the republic maintains trade with 113 countries. Export accounts for more than 80% of trade turnover. The expected annual volume of non-commodity non-energy exports should increase by 25% from the figure for 2021. This is about 70% of the total export volume. That is, the task set by the country's leadership to double the volume of exports of non-commodity non-energy goods by 2024 is generally being fulfilled,” Andrey Nazarov said.
The Bashkir Prime Minister outlined many areas in which the tools of the Regional Export Standard have demonstrated high efficiency.
Ensuring presence in foreign markets (7th instrument): a network of representative offices of Bashkiria abroad is being formed. Representative offices are already operating in Belarus, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and China; they will soon be opened in Iran and the UAE.
Expansion of business ties with potential foreign counterparties (11th tool): in 2022, 8 business missions were organized - to the UAE, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Armenia, Turkey, and Kyrgyzstan, which included 77 companies and during which more than 20 contracts for $4.5 million were signed.
Export promotion (several instruments): as Bashinform News Agency reported, 60 enterprises of the oil and gas industry and the agro-industrial complex took part in the Export Fast and the Furious program; Export Ambulance advised about 230 companies, 28 of them signed 65 export contracts and expanded the geography of deliveries.
The implementation of the 6th tool made it possible, together with the Skolkovo School, to develop a methodology for adapting franchises to target foreign markets. This practice is also recognized as the best and is hosted on the Smartek platform.
170 million rubles were reserved in 2023 for developing the regional export development program standard, which includes various measures to support exporters. A number of these measures are recognized as effective at the federal level and are included in the list of best practices, the Head of the Bashkir Cabinet noted.
