Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov wrote on his social media about the results of a business visit to Belarus.
Bashkortostan-Belarus relations are reaching a new, higher level. The Head of our Republic held several meetings with Belarusian colleagues: Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko and the Chief of Staff of President Yury Nazarov. Also, our delegation was received by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Belarus Boris Gryzlov.
The trip was very productive right away. Among the main achievements, I would single out the following:
We discussed preparations for the X Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus with our partners, which will be held in Ufa from June 26-28, 2023. In this regard, direct flights Ufa-Minsk-Ufa will be launched to strengthen cooperation in the spring of 2023. We plan to organize an exhibition and cultural and sports grounds as part of the forum.
We discussed the possibilities of increasing the volume of trade turnover and projects for localizing the production of demanded products. Following the results of the International Business Week, which was held in Ufa in December 2022, Bashkir and Belarusian enterprises signed agreements for 60 million rubles. They, in particular, provide for the supply of the Bashkir Soda Company products to Belarus.
We agreed with Amkador to launch a plant for grain drying equipment and start building a plant to produce equipment for housing and communal services.
We also examined industrial plants with which we plan to increase cooperation and clothing factories - with the departure of some foreign clothing brands, we not only did not feel the shortage predicted by the West but also concentrated on sewing our goods. We also do not rule out cooperation with our Belarusian colleagues.
To expand the scope of the partnership, we updated the cooperation agreement and formed a roadmap and a working group. This will contribute to deeper integration between Bashkir and Belarusian enterprises.
Belarus's leadership supported the Head of Bashkortostan’s initiative to import bison.
Our trip dates coincided with the visit of the delegation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov. This is a very positive sign: we always accurately calculate long-term planning. The union state focuses on strengthening its borders, especially when neighbors from the West intend to come close to them. At the same time, Sergei Lavrov noticed a "sobering up" among certain European politicians. This is due to the consumer attitude towards Europe on the part of the United States.
Therefore, while some countries are greedily absorbing the economy of others, the Russian state is focused on building trusting business relationships.
