X Forum of Russia and Belarus will be held in Ufa

The X Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus will be held in Ufa from 26 to 28 June 2023. The Chairman of the Council of the Republic of Belarus, Natalia Kochanova, announced this.

“Russia is our strategic partner, and this has been discussed many times. And the current situation has shown that this is correct. Because the issues that both Russia and Belarus have to solve today are consonant. As part of the sanctions pressure, our countries have become closer in this cooperation. And the decision taken ten years ago to hold regional forums shows its effectiveness”, Natalia Kochanova told the Belta news agency.

At a meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the X Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia, the heads of the republican government bodies and local authorities discussed which sections would work and what events would be held within the framework of the forum.

“Quite recently, we reviewed the implementation of the allied programs signed by the Supreme State Council at a meeting with the president. The head of state clearly stated that the main issue in integration is the economy. The main component in holding our event is signing contracts and agreements,” Belta quotes the Chairman of the Council of the Republic. — Last year, contracts and agreements were signed for 65 billion Russian rubles. Once again, I want to note that holding the Forum of Regions is the pinnacle of the work that takes place throughout the year.”

The number of thematic forum sites is also expanding.

“Last year, six sections discussed topical issues of our cooperation. This year ten are expected. In my opinion, an exciting topic was chosen in the work of the sections and important issues, - added Natalya Kochanova. - Issues relevant today will be voiced - this is the creation of joint ventures and industries, the production of import-substituting products. Therefore, this time the forum will have ten sections. And our cooperation is expanding in absolutely all areas.”
