Russian Government established Sergey Korolev Scholarship for achievements in engineering

On behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, the Sergey Korolev Scholarship will appear in Russia in 2023. It will be awarded to undergraduate and graduate students for significant achievements in engineering. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the decree on its establishment and appointment rules.

Scholarships will be awarded annually starting September 1st. There are 10 scholarships for university students at 15,000 rubles a month and 10 scholarships for graduate students at 20,000 rubles a month.

Academic councils of educational organizations will nominate candidates for scholarships. The Ministry of Education and Science will decide on scholarship holders based on the results of the competitive selection. In addition to representatives of the ministry, the competition commission will include representatives of interested organizations, invited experts, and students and graduate students who are not candidates.

Scholarships will be financed under the state program "Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation".
