Radiy Khabirov: We have no right to reduce investment growth rates

Today, during the announcement of the Address to the State Assembly, the Head of Bashkortostan noted that the Republic deservedly enters the top five of the country's Investment Rating.

"In the difficult years of the pandemic, and this year, we continue to increase investments in the economy. Over the past three years, our investment volume has grown by almost a third (31%). These are not just numbers; these are new industries and jobs.

We have no right to reduce the growth rate of investments. I instruct the Government of the Republic to develop new measures to support investors for this.

Most importantly, Russian and foreign investors believed in Bashkortostan. The fact that they know how to work here and create the necessary conditions for partners," the head of the Republic said.

According to him, busy work will continue forming infrastructure in the Alga SEZ, which is recognized as the most dynamically developing economic zone in the country.

"I take this opportunity once again to invite investors with their projects to the Alga SEZ. Keep in mind that we have some free land there. But you need to hurry.

Our management team always proceeds from the fact that if one opportunity disappears, we do not wait but find another. The world is much bigger than the countries that have imposed sanctions on us. We started looking and found new partners.

Our foreign trade turnover grew by 28% last year and 13.5% over the first nine months of this year. Exports are growing at a fast pace.

The Republic is reaching a new level of economic and humanitarian cooperation with the Republic of Belarus. Next year, Bashkortostan will host the tenth Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus.

"I ask the Government to prepare and adequately hold this vital forum.

We actively work with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and the People's Republic of China. I believe that we have not fully unlocked the potential of the countries of Southeast and Western Asia and many other states. Therefore, we will continue to open representative offices in friendly countries, support exporters, cover part of the costs, and promote them on international platforms.

It is essential that the Republic was included in the number of four Russian regions participating in the experiment on introducing the partner (Islamic) financing model. We are confident that our joint efforts in implementing the principles of Islamic finance will create significant incentives for the development of the halal industry, attracting foreign investment, and generally strengthening the economy, which is especially important in the face of increasing sanctions pressure. I instruct the Government to create a Coordinating Council for Partner Financing to organize the interaction of participants in this market," Radiy Khabirov said.
