Head of Bashkiria instructed Government to continue program for grant support to scientists

The Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, today, in his Address to the State Assembly, recalled that yesterday an agreement was signed on constructing an interuniversity student campus.

"In a project with a total investment of about 27 billion rubles, almost half (43.9%) are federal funds. The campus's first object- the IQ-Park building - will start working in a year. I instruct the Government to strictly fulfill all our obligations to implement the project and complete construction by 2026. Our campus is not only comfortable dormitories for more than 4 thousand students but a modern world-class scientific and educational environment. It will be life, study, science, sports, and cultural space. There will be offices of small innovative students and university companies and large resident companies. With the campus project, we are building an ecosystem of student entrepreneurship.

At the expense of the republic's budget, unprecedented steps have been taken to provide grant support to our scientists. For the first time this year, we allocated 200 million rubles for scientific internships, improving the living conditions of young scientists and university professors. I ask the Government next year to continue implementing this social program, to include scientists from the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences in it," said Radiy Khabirov.
