Bashkortostan actively shows itself in the sports life of Russia, said the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, during his Address to the State Assembly of the Republic.

“We hold competitions with the invitation of friendly countries. We began to develop new sports projects, such as the Race of Heroes. We create all conditions for the training of athletes with special needs. Our Paralympic athletes train at the Rima Batalova Sports Training Center. This year, we launched the Center for Adaptive Sports. We will give it the Neftyanik sports complex with a swimming pool, gym, and sports halls.

Over the past three years, the industry has attracted sizeable federal funding. This is due to the construction of extensive sports facilities dedicated to the 450th anniversary of Ufa - wrestling, fencing, rowing slalom centers, and the launch of new sports training programs.

The Svetlana Khorkina Gymnastics Center was opened this year. More than 800 children are already involved in it today. We expect good results in the preparation of future champions.

In general, we will continue to create conditions for physical education and sports for people of all generations.

Today I will hold a meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports, where we will discuss in detail the prospects and tasks in this direction.”
