Radiy Khabirov summed up interaction results between Bashkortostan and Kazakhstan

At the 18 Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov talked to journalists. He spoke about the development of cooperation with Kazakh partners.

“We consider this forum as another result of building our economic relations. In 2021, we gave them a very strong impetus when a large business delegation from Bashkortostan visited Kazakhstan. As a result of the visit, we created a working group that approved a roadmap in all areas of cooperation,” the head of the republic noted. - Our interaction with Kazakhstan is not only economic but also cultural and humanitarian. I can give you an example: a very bright exposition “The Great Steppe: Space. Time. Culture". This is a unique exposition of the National Museum of Kazakhstan, which was presented in Bashkortostan.”

Radiy Khabirov noted a significant increase in trade. By the end of 2022, the amount of mutual trade can reach $500 million.

“Now we face a new challenge. Today, the product range was designated, which Kazakh colleagues are ready to supply to us. And earlier we presented our nomenclature. We have created representative offices of those enterprises that operate in Kazakhstan. In general, the Forum of Interregional Cooperation is a point where we sum up, evaluate the effectiveness of previous decisions and, accordingly, outline future strategic goals," Radiy Khabirov said.

He also added that the forum is alternately held in Russia and Kazakhstan. Next year it will be hosted by the Kostanay region. And in 2024, at the suggestion of Bashkortostan, Ufa may become the capital of the forum.

“The forum creates conditions for warm communication. I can say that following the results of the trip in 2021, we established a dialogue with many heads of the regions of Kazakhstan. In the process of communication, we carefully study what we and our Kazakh colleagues can offer each other. This interaction gives its results,” said Radiy Khabirov, answering a question from journalists.

Speaking about the working group of Bashkortostan and Kazakhstan, the effectiveness of which was noted in his speech by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the Head of the Republic stressed that the most important result is the growth of trade.

“Recently, at the Investment Hour session, a large Kazakh enterprise presented a project to localize the production of refrigerators in our country with an investment of about 3 billion rubles. More and more such examples began to appear. Now the possibility of cooperation between enterprises of Kazakhstan and the Bashkir Soda Company is at the stage of discussion. For effective work, there must be tasks, specific deadlines for their implementation, and responsibility. It is on this principle that we are building cooperation with Kazakhstan,” Radiy Khabirov emphasized.
