

Deputies of the State Assembly - Kurultay adopted the Law "On the abolition of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bashkortostan". Federal legislation provides for the abolition of constitutional (charter) courts of constituent entities of the Russian Federation until January 1, 2023.
As explained in the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the regional Constitutional Court will continue to work until the end of this year and will complete the cases accepted for proceedings.
“The implementation of measures to abolish the Constitutional Court is entrusted to the government of the republic,” commented Konstantin Tolkachev, chairman of the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
According to the Speaker of the Parliament, it is planned to create a Constitutional Council in the republic. He will undertake the analysis and monitoring of legislation for its compliance with the spirit and letter of the Constitution of the Republic. Its activities will be regulated by a separate law.
