Russia expands recruitment subsidy program

The Russian government decided to expand the recruitment subsidy program, extending it to all unemployed citizens up to 30 years old. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Previously, companies and organizations could count on state support for the employment of certain categories of citizens under 30 years of age. Among them are graduates of colleges and universities without work experience, young people without secondary vocational or higher education, as well as disabled people, orphans, and parents of minor children. Now the program will cover all young people who are looking for work.

Besides, this resolution excludes the requirement to register as unemployed for those citizens who in 2022 were transferred to a permanent job with another employer, but were at risk of being fired. Including being transferred on unpaid leave, and to a part-time job. This will simplify and speed up their employment.

The subsidy that employers will receive, as before, will be equal to three minimum wages, increased by the regional coefficient, the insurance premium amounts, and the number of employed. The organization will receive the first payment one month after the applicant's employment, the second - three months later, and the third - six months later.

The employer must contact the employment center to receive state support and select specialists for existing vacancies. This can be done remotely, through a personal account on the Job of Russia portal. After that, they will need to send an application to the social insurance fund, which deals with the distribution and payment of subsidies. This can also be done remotely - through the “Sotsstrakh” system, the press service of the Russian government said.
