On July 7, in Izhevsk, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, took part in a meeting of the Council of the Volga Federal District. It was held by the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of Russia to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov.

According to the press service of the Head of the Republic, the agenda included the tasks of developing the economy, regional measures to support residents and businesses under sanctions, as well as the implementation of the "Culture" national project in the regions of the district.

Opening the meeting, Igor Komarov noted that, in general, the situation in the Volga Federal District was characterized by relative stability and corresponded to all-Russian trends. Particular attention should be paid to the state of the labor market, where there were prerequisites for rising tensions.

Igor Komarov stressed the need for constant monitoring of retail prices for essential goods, medicines, and medical products and their availability in stores. He also instructed the heads of regions to strengthen information work with businesses and citizens on the available measures of state support.

There is an operational headquarters for ensuring the socio-economic development of the region, as well as the Import Substitution and Import Supply Center, which supports backbone enterprises in Bashkortostan. The republic is implementing a set of anti-crisis measures to ensure the sustainable development of the economy. It includes about 150 events totaling about 55 billion rubles.

During the discussion of the "Culture" national project, the Plenipotentiary Envoy noted that in all regions they were building and overhauling facilities, equipping children's art schools and colleges with tools and modern equipment, and re-equipping libraries.

Minister of Culture of Russia Olga Lyubimova presented the results of the ongoing work.

In 2022, 29 children's art schools in eight constituent entities were equipped in the regions of the Volga region. They opened four model libraries, 10 virtual concert halls, provided state support to 87 rural cultural institutions and 59 best workers,” the Minister of Culture said.

Olga Lyubimova dwelled on two federal projects being actively implemented in the Volga District. As part of the “Invented in Russia” program, Schools of Creative Industries were opened across the country. At the beginning of the academic year, eight such institutions will appear in the Volga Federal District, one of them in Bashkortostan.

The Pushkin Card program is also actively developing in the regions, due to which young people aged 14-22 have the opportunity to visit cultural events free of charge. More than 1,700 cultural institutions of the Volga District have already joined the program,” Olga Lyubimova said.

In 2022, Bashkortostan allocated 52.5 million rubles to repair four children's art schools in Ufa, Zianchurinsky, Meleuzovsky, and Tuymazinsky districts. Another 17 children's art schools received a total of 104 million rubles for equipment.

The republic also plans to overhaul the house museum of Shagit Khudaiberdin in Ufa and the Temyasovsky Museum of Local History, complete the reconstruction of the Bashkir State Puppet Theater and overhaul the Mustai Karim National Youth Theater in the capital of the region.

As part of the development of a network of cultural and leisure institutions in the republic, a multifunctional rural house of culture was also built in the village of Yavgildino, Karaidel district, and a socio-cultural center in the village of Tirlyansky, Beloretsk district.

At the end of the Council meeting, Igor Komarov presented the gratitude of the President of Russia to the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, for his contribution to the support and implementation of socially significant projects.
