The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, took part in a seminar-meeting dedicated to the tasks of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the field of supporting families with children. The seminar was held in Moscow on the eve of the meeting of the Presidium of the State Council RF that will be chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin on May 25.
The best republican practices in the field of social policy were included in the final report for the meeting of the State Council. In total, families from Bashkortostan receive more than 20 types of benefits and social support measures, including those from the federal budget. Among them, there are certificates of pre-school education, tax benefits, and certificates for supplying gas to residential buildings.
State support in the form of benefits can be received by low-income families with children from three to seven years old. From April 1, 2022, on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, such families can receive a monthly cash allowance for a child aged 8 to 17. As of May 2022, parents of 88.5 thousand children aged three to seven years old registered in Bashkortostan received 3.6 billion ruble payments. Payments for children from 8 to 17 years old were received by the parents of 63 thousand children of the republic for a total amount of more than 1 billion rubles.
Large families, of which there are more than 46.3 thousand in the republic, are under special attention. Thus, families with eight or more children under the age of 23 are provided with a one-time 622.8 thousand ruble cash payment. In 2021, 52 families received it for 32.5 million rubles, and in the first quarter of 2022 - 13 families for 8.1 million rubles.
Besides, in 2022, the government of the republic approved additional family support measures totaling 136.8 million rubles. Another 14.6 million rubles were allocated for these purposes by the Federal Fund for Support of Children in Difficult Life Situations. The measures include material assistance to low-income families, the work of training and internship sites for various competencies, and the organization of volunteer movements.
