Radiy Khabirov held meeting with President of All-Russian organization "Opora Russia"

On May 12, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov met with Alexander Kalinin, President of the All-Russian Public Organization of Small and Medium-Sized Business "Opora Russia". The parties discussed the development of business amid sanctions and the necessary support measures. The meeting was also attended by the Prime Minister of the government of the republic Andrey Nazarov and the chairman of the Bashkir regional branch of Opora Russia Laysan Nikolaeva.

“Since our previous meeting, positive trends have emerged in the business community,” Radiy Khabirov said. “One of the main indicators is the growth in the number of small and medium-sized businesses by almost four percent over the past year. Moreover, we have observed this positive trend in recent months, when international sanctions pressure has increased. This means that residents want to be engaged in business and that government support measures, including through Opora Russia, are making good results. Support measures at the level of the republic also make their contribution to the common cause - they are multifaceted and universal in nature.”

Prime Minister of the government of the republic Andrey Nazarov recalled that Bashkortostan ranked ninth in the country in terms of the administrative pressure index, and ranked fifth in the National rating of the investment climate in the regions.

Alexander Kalinin spoke about the proposals of the business community, voiced at the round table "Business is the Backbone of the State", which was held at the Management Center of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The president of Opora Russia highly appreciated this site and noted that similar centers should be opened in other large cities of the country.

On May 13, in Ufa, Alexander Kalinin will take part in the reporting and election conference of the Bashkir regional branch of Opora Russia, at which they will sum up the results of four-year work, and also determine the tasks for the upcoming period.

According to the Unified Register of Small and Medium Enterprises, at the end of 2021, the number of SMEs in the republic amounted to 129,000, which is 3.9 percent higher than the previous year. In terms of the number of SMEs, Bashkortostan ranks 11th among Russian regions and third in the Volga Federal District.
