We continue to focus on broad import substitution - Radiy Khabirov

The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov today, in his speech to the deputies of the State Assembly at the 42nd meeting of the Parliament of the sixth convocation, spoke about the main results of the development of the republic in 2021.

According to him, the gross regional product amounted to 2 trillion rubles, and the growth in the industry - 7.5 percent.

“We continue to focus on broad import substitution. This applies not only to mechanical engineering, the oil and gas sector, metallurgy but also to other industries. I ask the Government in this challenging time to work hand in hand with the leaders of industrial enterprises, to provide them with assistance so that they can survive in this situation, to continue developing our program of industrial and technology parks. I ask you to complete the work on the formation of furniture and other industry clusters of our republic,” the Head of the Republic noted.

In terms of investments, the growth amounted to 5.1 percent, 419 billion rubles - this is a record in history. The Alga Special Economic Zone has been recognized as the fastest-growing zone in the country. In the coming years, it is planned to invest almost 60 billion rubles here and create several thousand jobs.

“The year was extremely hard for our agriculture. However, our farmers have once again proved that they are really the best. We completely cover our needs for food and raw materials. At the same time, I draw the attention of the economic section of the Government, the Ministry of Agriculture to the need to close all our obligations to rural residents. And most importantly, to ensure the further modernization of agriculture. I mean, first of all, the purchase of agricultural machinery. I especially remind the Ministry of Agriculture that we have set ourselves the task of becoming one of the top three constituent entities of the Volga Federal District in terms of the processing industry. At the same time, I would like to note that now we are in fifth place, and a year ago we were in sixth,” Radiy Khabirov emphasized.

The republic has reached a historical maximum in housing commissioning - 2.9 million square meters. The problems of "deceived equity holders" are being systematically solved. The emergency housing resettlement programs were completed ahead of schedule.

“Last year, the republic approved an application for infrastructure budget loans in the amount of almost 15 billion rubles, which we will allocate to engineering and social facilities in the new neighborhoods of Ufa and Neftekamsk. As part of these loans, we have begun to form the "Southern Gates" project of our capital."

Unemployment fell from 5.9 to 4.3 percent. The average salary exceeded 40 thousand rubles with an increase of 7.5 percent.

“It is essential to note that the republic is becoming attractive to residents of other regions and countries. For the first time in eight years, the migration increase amounted to almost 15,000 people. Also, for the first time since 2000, inter-regional migration turned out to be net positive by 6 thousand people. We stood together in the autumn when the coronavirus pandemic was raging. We deployed 8.5 thousand infectious beds with all the necessary equipment. We built a network of new hospitals and provided mass vaccination. In general, for the whole year, we have significantly strengthened the healthcare system in the republic. I can confidently say that we have never had such a pace and volume of healthcare facilities construction. This year we will commission a cardiology center. Next year - the children's oncology and hematology center. We are going to build nine polyclinics, start designing a new hospital for war and labor veterans. At the same time, I draw the attention of the Government to the need to increase the construction pace of rural health stations and rural outpatient clinics,” the Head of the Region said.
