

Negotiations between the delegations of Moscow and Kyiv on the settlement of the situation in Ukraine ended, the parties agreed to hold a new round. The meeting was held in the Gomel region of Belarus; it lasted almost five hours, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the results of the talks, a member of the Russian delegation, presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, the participants went through the entire agenda in detail.
According to him, items were outlined for possible common positions.
Medinsky added that a new meeting would take place in the coming days near the Polish-Belarusian border.
"Until that time, the leadership of each of the delegations will consult on all negotiating positions with the leadership of the country," the presidential aide concluded.
The negotiators acknowledged that "the parties heard each other" and "found several important points on which it is possible to achieve progress."
In turn, the Advisor to the Head of the President's of Ukraine Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, said that the parties had identified priority topics on which they had outlined specific solutions. He added that these topics would be developed in the second round of negotiations. The main purpose of the meeting for Ukraine was to discuss a ceasefire, the Advisor said.
