Vice-premiers of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan discussed issues of cooperation

According to the press service of the Republic's Government, during the meeting, the issues of cooperation between the two republics on the occasion of the 1100th anniversary of the official adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria were considered.

"The main events will be held in Kazan from May 19 to 21. The plan has been approved, the international economic summit "Russia-Islamic World: KazanSummit", the Forum of Religious Tatar Figures, and many other events are planned. In addition, events will be held in St. Petersburg, in Siberia, here in Ufa, so we need to coordinate our actions," Vasil Shaykhraziev said.

He stressed that the primary purpose of the visit was the exchange of experience between the friendly republics. Azat Badranov noted that Bashkortostan was also preparing for this significant date.

"The 1100th anniversary of the official adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria is a comprehension of our roots. We have already discussed that it is necessary to pay more attention to personalities-enlighteners in history. At the beginning of the 20th century, they formed the basis of the intelligentsia of our peoples. They did not divide themselves into nationalities - this is our common history, our common origins," Azat Badranov emphasized.
