Bashkiria adopted law in support of volunteer movement
Deputies of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan adopted a law that expands the list of volunteer activity areas that involve special state support.
Priority areas include protection against natural and man-made emergencies, volunteer activities in the field of civil defense, fire safety, and human safety at water bodies.
According to the law, volunteers have the right to provide uniform and special clothing, equipment, personal protective equipment, food, premises for temporary use. In addition, they can be provided with travel to and from their destination, health and life insurance, psychological assistance, and rehabilitation. Volunteering is encouraged in the form of state and departmental awards and in the framework of various competitions and programs.
