Radiy Khabirov held working meeting with Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin

Today, a working meeting of the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin took place in Nur-Sultan.

Askar Mamin noted the significant potential for building up cooperation between Kazakhstan and Bashkortostan in trade, economic, investment, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, industrial collaboration, and other industries. So, in January-July 2021, the trade volume between Kazakhstan and Bashkortostan increased by 20.2 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to about $ 200 million.

The parties discussed the possibility of opening direct flights between Ufa and Nur-Sultan.

During the talks, Radiy Khabirov and Askar Mamin paid particular attention to the development of interregional cooperation and interaction on the rational use and protection of the resources of the transboundary Ural River (Zhaiyk).

"Today, Kazakhstan is our main trade and economic partner in the CIS space. At a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Askar Uzakpaevich Mamin, we discussed the growth of exports of our companies' products. We are talking about the supply of industrial equipment, products of the agro-industrial complex and the food industry, agricultural machinery, medical equipment. We are interested in setting up new joint ventures. We already have such a successful experience", Radiy Khabirov summed up the results of the negotiations. "There are many areas of mutual interest. I am sure that if we actively support all of this, we will achieve impressive results. We are sincerely open to strengthening bilateral ties."

The day before, the delegation of Bashkortostan, led by the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit. There will be a presentation of the investment and economic potential of the republic and the grand opening of the Representative Office of the Congress Bureau of Bashkortostan.

Also, the visit program includes meetings of the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbaev, as well as Akim of the West Kazakhstan region Gali Iskaliev.
