Bashkiria is in second place in rating of management impact on tourism development

The Russian Union of Travel Industry conducts a large-scale study of the management impact on the sustainable development of tourism in the regions of Russia. According to the results of the first stage, Bashkortostan took second place in the rating.

"This means that the tourism management system in our republic is second only to Moscow in terms of monitoring indicators," the Head of the republic, Radiy Khabirov, posted on social media. "They evaluated our measures to support entrepreneurs, compliance with environmental standards, the availability of convenient navigation, an accessible barrier-free environment, and much more."

Bashkortostan is confidently becoming one of the main directions of domestic tourism in Russia. In just six months of 2021, 1.9 million tourists visited our republic. Ethnic tourism, ecotourism, cruise vacations, and water recreation, medical, children's, and social tourism will become the drivers of tourism development in Bashkortostan. By 2035, it is planned to create 75 visitor centers in cities and regions of Bashkortostan and increase the tourist flow to 5 million people a year.

"By the end of the year, based on the results of the remaining two stages of Rostourism monitoring, we will see our overall indicators," Radiy Khabirov said. "The study will allow us to implement new management tools in this direction more effectively."
