3 403 polling stations to open in Bashkiria on State Duma elections day

On a single voting day, September 19, in the territory of Bashkortostan, in addition to elections of deputies to the State Duma, additional elections of deputies of the State Assembly are held in Tolbazinsky No. 29, Krasnokholmsky No. 43 and Buysky No. 55 constituencies, as well as elections to the city councils of Ufa, Birsk and Beloretsk.

Voting in the elections scheduled for September 19 this year takes place over three days: September 17, 18, and 19. The voting time is from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, Ilona Makarenko, chairman of the Central Election Commission of Bashkortostan, said at a weekly meeting in the government.

Elections are held by 69 territorial and 3,403 precinct commissions, including 39 formed in places of temporary residence of voters (hospitals, pre-trial detention centers, a railway station).

“The premises for voting have been inspected by the relevant services and are practically ready for work. All of them are provided with stationary and portable boxes, voting booths, necessary furniture, safes, including for storing safe packages, video surveillance or video registration, stationary or manual metal detectors. 230 polling stations are equipped with ballot processing complexes”, Ilona Makarenko said.

According to her, all stations are equipped with personal protective equipment and goods to ensure sanitary and epidemiological safety.

Radiy Khabirov instructed the heads of municipalities to provide all necessary organizational assistance to precinct commissions during voting days.
