Head of Bashkiria demanded to bring unscrupulous subsoil users to justice

The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, once again focused on working with unscrupulous subsoil users. During a briefing session in the government, he asked Deputy Prime Minister Azat Badranov to report on the problematic situation in the Uchalinsky region, where a conflict arose between the Alt-Invest gold mining company and the residents of the Urazovo village, near which illegal mining was taking place, destructive to the environment and agriculture.

"At the end of last week, a working group of the Interdepartmental Commission on Subsoil Use, created on your behalf, visited the site. There we were convinced that, in fact, the promised soil improvement was not being carried out. Instead of geological exploration, production was conducted at two sites, including at Terrasovaya-2, where, according to Bashnedr, the gold reserves were determined at 330 kg. That is, in fact, theft. We are preparing an appeal to the FSB on this matter," Azat Badranov said. Besides, the issue was raised about the withdrawal of the license for development based on the audit results by the prosecutor's office and Rosprirodnadzor.

The Head of Bashkiria appealed to the chief federal inspector for the Volga Federal District, Aleksey Kasyanov: "Given the complexity of regulating these issues, we have created an Interdepartmental Commission for Subsoil Use. We can start working with those who behave like occupiers only by coordinating different departments. The first step has been taken, and we should figure it out to the end".

The Head of the Republic also recalled that the subregion needed an official representative, to whom people could address their problems and who could coordinate the solution of complex situations locally.
