Radiy Khabirov enlisted support of President in preparation for Ufa 450th anniversary

The Head of Bashkiria garnered the support of President Vladimir Putin in preparation for the 450th anniversary of Ufa, which is scheduled for 2024. The upcoming anniversary of the Bashkir capital was discussed during the meeting of the Head of State with Radiy Khabirov in the Abzelilovsky region on August 6.

"We, of course, talked about the 450th anniversary of Ufa. I thanked the President for supporting us; it was Vladimir Putin who had given this event the status of federal significance. We talked about constructing several major projects that we want to [build] for the 450th anniversary. Now I will communicate with the Ministry of Finance, with the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation. The meeting was very positive," the Head of the Region said on Monday at a briefing session in the government.

Also, according to him, the Eurasian Research and Educational Center, the participation of Bashkiria in the "Priority 2030" program, and the implementation of a project for constructing a carbon testing site in our republic were also discussed.

"You know, it was at the suggestion of the President that we launched the project of the Eurasian REC, and in less than a year of the REC's existence, we received about 850 million rubles for the development of science and higher education in the republic. Now we are considering applications for the REC campus status, " Radiy Khabirov said. "In general, I reported that the republic was actively developing. We rank first in the country in implementing industrial policy, so we all were not ashamed to report to the head of state on the tasks that we were accomplishing. "
