State Register of National Heritage to be created in Bashkiria

Unique objects of spiritual, cultural, historical, and natural heritage in Bashkiria will be included in the State Register of National Heritage. The corresponding provision is planned to be included in the Constitution of the region, the State Assembly – Kurultay of Bashkiria reported.

"For the special protection status of unique objects, it is proposed to include them in the State Register of National Heritage. The register will be approved by the republican law," the Speaker of the Bashkir parliament, Konstantin Tolkachev, explained.

It was proposed to specify certain natural objects that have a unique ecological, cultural, and historical significance directly in the Constitution of Bashkiria. Among them - the state natural reserve "Shulgan-Tash", natural parks "Asly-Kul", "Kandry-Kul", "Muradymovskoe gorge", "Iremel", natural monuments - Kushtau, Tratau, Yuraktau mountains.

"No other region of Russia has such a regulation in the Constitution. Moreover, Bashkiria will be the first where the State Register of National Heritage will be formed," Tolkachev said.

According to him, a lot of work is expected in the region to systematize unique spiritual, cultural, historical, and natural heritage objects.

Work on the register of national heritage will begin after the adoption of amendments to the Constitution of Bashkiria.

The draft law "On Amendments and Additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Bashkortostan" was adopted by the State Assembly in the first reading on June 23. Work is now underway on amendments to the text of the document. The deputies of the State Assembly will consider them during the autumn session.
