12 parties announced their participation in elections to State Duma in Bashkiria

The period of nomination and registration of candidates in single-mandate constituencies by political parties, the submission of documents by the self-nominated candidates in the elections of deputies to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia of the 8th convocation has ended.
Voting in the elections of deputies of the State Duma and in other elections, referendums scheduled for September 19, 2021, will be held for three days in a row - September 17, 18, and 19.
Political parties have already submitted lists of candidates to the State Duma to the Central Election Commission of Russia. In turn, the candidates will have to submit their documents to the district election commissions.
"In total, more than 60 people have been nominated for elections to the State Duma of Russia in Bashkiria in single-mandate constituencies. Four of them are self-nominated. They will have to collect signatures in support of their nomination. 12 political parties announced their participation in the elections," the republic's Central Election Commission told the Bashinform News Agency.
The most impressive representation of nominees among all political forces is shown by the "United Russia". Meanwhile, non-parliamentary parties such as Rodina, Party of Growth, Novye Lyudi, Green Party have already actively joined the campaign, thus demonstrating the multi-party image of the republic's political landscape.
The final political alignment among single-mandate party candidates in each single-mandate constituency will be known after July 23. It is then that the stage of documents submitted by candidates from political parties to the district election commissions will end.
To ensure the legitimacy and openness of the course and results of the voting, video surveillance will be installed in 1384 rooms in Bashkiria. Of these - the premises of all 69 territorial election commissions and 1315 premises of precinct election commissions (39%).
In addition, 230 complexes for processing ballots are being used in Bashkiria.
Recall that a Public Center for Election Observation has been created at the Public Chamber of Bashkiria, which has trained more than 6.8 thousand observers. All of them received the necessary training. Many of them have experience working as election observers.
As Bashinform reported earlier, the number of voters in the republic as of January 1, 2021, exceeded 3 million people.
Some changes also affect the work of the media during the election period. The so-called election silence this year is shifted to Friday; this is due to three-day voting. The election silence will come at midnight on September 17, and election campaigning in the media is prohibited from September 17 to September 19.
