Russia's authorities are not planning to block foreign social networks – Putin

Russia's authorities are not planning to block Western social networks, such as Tik-Tok, Telegram, Twitter, Youtube, and others, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during his Direct Line (Q&A session) on Wednesday.
"No, we do not have such plans. We are not planning to block anyone. We are planning to work with them". However, there are some problems. According to Putin, Western social media do not always comply with the demands of the Russian authorities.
As Putin underlined, If they work in our country, earn money here, then they should abide by Russian laws.
That is why the main request to such international platforms is to open their full-fledged representation offices and legal entities to hold dialogue with.
If they do not do this or open a representation office that does not listen to Russian laws' requirements, then various technical means, including slowing down the speed and so on, will be applied.
