Khabirov: Folkloriada is people's diplomacy, comparable to World Youth Festival
The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, today at a meeting with the editors of the republican media and leading bloggers, asked to support the holding of the Folkloriada in Ufa.
“Delegations from 37 countries come to us. They will see the nature of Bashkortostan, visit the regions of the republic, and in this we see great potential for the recognition of the republic in terms of tourism,” Radiy Khabirov said.
According to him, the event will be held in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological requirements.
"Folkloriada is a kind of people's diplomacy, and its atmosphere can be compared to that which was at the World Festival of Youth and Students, which took place in 1957 in Moscow," the Head of the Republic said.
The Head of the Republic noted that he himself bears personal responsibility for its implementation in the republic and all the conditions that had been created in Bashkortostan to carry it out in a calm and safe mode. The event will not pose any threat to the health of the residents of the republic.
The head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Kazak, in turn, noted that the Folkloriada was a highly organized event, and there was no need to be afraid that it would give a large increase in coronavirus diseases.
