Vladimir Putin: I am against compulsory vaccination against coronavirus

During the Direct Line, Vladimir Putin said that he did not support mandatory vaccination against coronavirus. However, the president advised addressing the 1998 law, which refers to the immune protection of the population. There are two parts there; the first is a national vaccination schedule, which is mandatory, Putin recalled.
According to him, there were proposals to transfer anti-vaccination to this national plan, but the deputies did not support it. Therefore, vaccination against COVID was not included in this section.
The second part suggests that in the event of an increase in morbidity in certain regions of the Russian Federation, on the recommendation of sanitary doctors, regional leaders have the right to introduce compulsory vaccination for certain categories of citizens. The heads of the subjects of the Federation took advantage of this. And all this is within the framework of the law that has been in effect since 1998.
The all-Russian lockdown is another matter, Putin emphasizes. The authorities' actions are aimed at preventing the introduction of a lockdown so as not to bankrupt the enterprises. To prevent this from happening, separate measures are being introduced in different regions.
