Timerbulat Karimov assumed post of Honorary Consul of Italy in Ufa

On the eve of the founder of the Mustai Karim Foundation, the grandson of the People's Poet of Bashkortostan, Chairman of the Council of the Plyos urban settlement, Timerbulat Karimov officially took office as the Honorary Consul of the Italian Republic in Ufa with jurisdiction over the entire territory of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

As Timerbulat Karimov noted, "the new position implies support for cooperation and expansion of cultural and economic ties."

In June 2019, the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Russia, Pasquale Terracciano, proposed organizing an Honorary Consulate of Italy in Bashkiria, which he discussed with Radiy Khabirov during a working meeting on prospects for strengthening cooperation in the economic, humanitarian, and social spheres. As Pasquale Terracciano noted then, for the successful implementation of joint projects, the constant presence of Italian representatives in Bashkortostan was necessary. Also, during the meeting, Timerbulat Karimov was proposed for the post of the Honorary Consul of Italy in Ufa.

In June 2018, Italian Ambassador to Russia Pasquale Terracciano presented Timerbulat Karimov with the Order of the Italian Star of the Commander degree.
