Vladimir Putin noted Bashkiria’s hitting top list in ASI investment rating

Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the entry of Bashkortostan into the Top 5 rating of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

“I would like to thank the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which, in the most difficult conditions of the epidemic, requiring the utmost concentration of resources and attention, did not stop doing this work, did not refer to circumstances but continued improving the business climate. They were in a dialogue with business, attracted new investors. Such regions have deservedly received high marks from the National Investment Climate Rating. Thus, the top ten included Bashkortostan, Nizhny Novgorod region, and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District. Samara, Sakhalin, and Chelyabinsk regions showed good growth. We will systematically help the regions improve the business environment,” the head of state stated at a St. Petersburg International Economic Forum plenary session.

According to the results of the first quarter of 2021, the republic, for the first time, took fifth place in the National Investment Climate Rating, participating in it since 2015. In 2018, the region was in 16th place, in 2019 - in 9th.
