Women deputies of State Assembly take part in Eurasian Women's Forum session

Women MPs of the State Assembly - Kurultay of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the format of video session participate in the Eurasian Women's Forum "The Role of Women in the Development of Industrial Regions in a Changing World: COVID-19", which takes place in Kemerovo on May 24-25.

The panel discussions include leading Russian and international speakers, with expert sessions and workshops. Among the topics planned for discussion are the effectiveness of women's management, the contribution of women to high technologies and digitalization, and participation in solving education and healthcare problems.

"Kuzbass, for the second time, has become a platform for discussing the role of women in society at the international level", Elvira Aitkulova, Deputy Chairperson of the State Assembly - Kurultay of the Republic of Bashkortostan commented on the event. "Following the results of the Forum in Novokuznetsk in 2019, several important decisions had been made that influenced the socio-economic development of Russia as a whole. The work of the visiting session of the Eurasian Women's Forum 2021 will make it possible to formulate proposals for the adoption of new program solutions in order to empower women and enhance their role in ensuring the sustainable development of the modern world."

The visiting session was organized with the support of the Federation Council, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

The Forum became the first global event at the sites of the largest Ice Palace beyond the Urals "Kuzbass", the construction of which was timed to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the region's industrial development. The Forum is broadcast online on its official website.
