Radiy Khabirov took part in meeting on National Social Initiative

On April 14, in Moscow, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, took part in a seminar on preparation for a joint meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of Russia and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), which will be held today, April 15. Regional leaders, representatives of federal authorities, and experts discussed issues related to the National Social Initiative implementation (NSI).

The Agency for Strategic Initiatives is implementing the NSI project on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. Bashkortostan, Kaliningrad, Kemerovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, and Sakhalin regions were among the six pilot regions where the NSI mechanisms were tested in 2020. In 2021, the National Social Initiative will be launched across the country.

The project covers four areas: education, health care, social services, and employment. At the seminar, the availability and quality of services in the social sphere, barriers, restrictions, and the mechanism of the National Social Initiative and its implementation in the regions were discussed.

Based on the results of the meeting, proposals will be drawn up to improve the process of providing services in the social sphere.

In Bashkortostan, the National Social Initiative's launch took place at the second All-Russian Investment Sabantuy "Trans-Urals" in August 2020.

As part of testing the NSI mechanisms in the republic:

- simplified the receipt of a monthly payment in connection with the birth (adoption) of the first child due to the digitalization of the process and effective interdepartmental interaction;

- improved the organization of social services at home and began to create a long-term care system;

- began to issue personalized certificates to people with disabilities to receive technical means of rehabilitation. In 2020, 1 212 such certificates were issued for a total of 14 million rubles from the republican budget;

- built an effective system of employment through employment centers;

- created a logistics center for managing the provision of medical care for patients with cardiovascular diseases. ASI experts recognized this practice as one of the best and most replicated among the regions.
