Days of Bashkortostan Republic were held in Klin near Moscow

From March 26 to March 28, the Days of the Republic of Bashkortostan were held in the city of Klin near Moscow as part of the annual Folk Arts and Сrafts Festival. For three days, Klin residents and guests had an opportunity to get acquainted with the culture and language, traditions and customs, costumes, and cuisine of the Bashkir people.
According to the press service of the Embassy of Bashkortostan under the President of the Russian Federation, the mayor of Klin Alena Sokolskaya delivered a speech at the opening of the Bashkortostan Days. As a sign of respect, she expressed her gratitude to the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and the Acting Plenipotentiary Envoy RB under the President of the Russian Federation Andrei Fedorov for assistance in organizing the event.
Deputy Plenipotentiary Envoy of Bashkortostan under the President of the Russian Federation Alexander Butenko also greeted the Festival's guests. He noted that the peace and harmony of Russia's peoples play an essential role in the unity of the nation, and acquaintance with other cultures' peculiarities only contributes to this.
The guests of the Festival enjoyed the performances of the Bashkir community's creative teams in Moscow and visit the exhibition of handicraft products of Bashkortostan. Delicious tea and traditional Bashkir treats were served - honey, chak-chak, dried goose, bauyrsak (dessert).
The Festival featured the Bashkir folklore group "Ak Tirme", the creative association "Sesen", the Moscow ensemble of the Bashkir dance "Altyn Ai" and the vocal and choreographic ensemble "Khazina".
The population of Klin is about 121 thousand people. Every year the city administration holds the Folk Arts and Сrafts Festival so that residents and guests can get acquainted with the culture of other regions of Russia.
