Skolkovo Foundation is holding "Startup Tour" in Ufa

On March 22, Ufa hosted a Startup Tour (online) organized by the Skolkovo Foundation. Bashkiria holds the regional stage of the event for the second time. Traditionally, this event's target audience is startups, technology entrepreneurs, young scientists, industrial partners, representatives of corporations, investors, technology parks, business incubators, and regional participants of the Skolkovo project mentors and experts.

"It is my wish to make Bashkortostan known all over the world as a territory of success, the best place for innovators and startups. We have many big and small achievements. For example, last year, we achieved a significant victory in the federal competition and created a world-class Research and Educational Center in the republic. The Bashkir Science City will become a center for developing the "knowledge economy", attracting talents, a real startup factory", the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, said in his video message.

The one-day program of Startup Tour includes several sessions and panel discussions devoted to the republic's innovative infrastructure, its advantages, contributing to the development of technological entrepreneurship. The speakers put a special emphasis on the problems of creating an internal successful technology company.

Also, within the tour framework, competitions are held for technological startups in the field of information, industrial and energy technologies, and biotechnologies in medicine and agriculture. The five-minute presentation allows startups to apply not only for cash prizes (certificates for 300 thousand rubles) and for participation in acceleration programs of development institutions and other nominations of partners, the press service of the regional cabinet reports.
