Head of Bashkiria discussed IQ park creation in Ufa with Skolkovo vice president

The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, met in Ufa with the Vice President for Regional and International Development of the Skolkovo Foundation, Yuri Saprykin.

The main topics of the meeting were the implementation of the project to create a high-tech technopark IQ-park in the Bashkir capital, as well as the holding of the Foundation's events in the field of innovation and technological entrepreneurship in the republic.

As Radiy Khabirov emphasized, today, Bashkiria is one of the leading innovative regions of Russia. In terms of integral economic, social, and infrastructure development indicators, the republic is in the top ten.

"We have recently opened the Factory of the Future center, created about 20 coworking spaces," he said. "A world-class Eurasian Research and Educational Center has been created in the republic within the "Science" national project. In this work, our partner is the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology."

As Bashinform News Agency reported earlier, a high-tech technopark IQ-park is being created in Ufa as part of a cooperation agreement between the republican government and the Skolkovo Foundation. It will be located in a previously empty office building at 32A, Zaki Validi Street.

The area of the IQ park is 36 thousand square meters. Its residents will be high-tech companies specializing in innovative developments for the fuel and energy complex, information technology, and other promising industries. The proximity to Bashkir State University will be a significant advantage of the technopark.

Various services for residents will be available in the IQ Park, contributing to the accelerated development of startups and commercialization developments.

Yuri Saprykin, who visited the technopark site, noted the good progress of construction work.

"I can say that this will be one of the most competently structured technoparks created in Russia in recent years. There is much space here, not only for the technology business but also for the creative industries", the vice-president of the Skolkovo Foundation emphasized.
