Head of Rosstat announced highest readiness of Bashkiria for population census

The Head of Rosstat Pavel Malkov announced the highest level of Bashkiria preparation for the upcoming All-Russian Population Census in the autumn.

As Pavel Malkov emphasized at the briefing, the All-Russian Population Census-2021 became one of the main topics for discussion with the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov in Ufa.

According to him, the parties discussed topical issues of regional statistics, specific indicators that can be used in daily work, as well as how to improve approaches to collecting information, processing, and calculating it.

“Certainly, we could not ignore the upcoming All-Russian Population Census. We examined in great detail how the republic was preparing for this large-scale event. We see that the level of training in the region is the highest. We are sure that everything will be held at the highest level here,” said the head of Rosstat, answering a question from the Bashinform News Agency.

Meanwhile, as Radiy Khabirov noted at the briefing, the republic had been preparing for the All-Russian Population Census for a year already. During this time, a lot has been done together with Bashkortostan Statistics Agency. A large amount of work was done. So, for such a big republic like Bashkiria, at least 10 thousand census takers are required. All of them must receive the necessary training.

According to Radiy Khabirov, one of the challenging and important tasks the region faces together with Rosstat is information and explanatory work with the population.

Recall that the All-Russian Population Census has been postponed twice already. The deadline for its implementation is still scheduled for September 2021.
