United Russia primaries for State Duma will be held in Bashkiria from May 24 to 30

The Chairman of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev headed the regional organizing committee for the preliminary voting of United Russia to select candidates for the State Duma. The first meeting of the organizing committee is scheduled for March 17. In total, the regional organizing committee included 21 people. Among them are the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Rustem Akhmadinurov, the ophthalmologist and esoteric surgeon Ernst Muldashev, the rector of the Bashkir State Medical University Valentin Pavlov, other well-known politicians, public figures, journalists.

"This year, the primaries in our republic will be held according to a mixed system, including online. Citizens registered on the "Gosuslugi" (State Services) portal have the right to participate. The requirements for participants remain the same - Russian citizenship, permanent residence in the country, no criminal record or foreign assets, and age from 21 years. One does not need to be a member of United Russia to participate. The main thing is not to be a member of another political party," Konstantin Tolkachev said.

During the primaries, candidates will be selected who will represent United Russia in September at the elections to the State Duma of the eighth convocation. The participants' debates in the primaries will be held from April 2 to May 15, the preliminary voting will take place from May 24 to 30, and its results will be announced on June 1.

The final list of candidates for State Duma deputies will be approved at the party congress to be held in mid-June.
