Bashkiria supported tax deduction for sports and fitness proposal

The deputy corps of the parliament of Bashkiria supported the draft federal law, which is supposed to provide citizens with a tax deduction for sports and recreation services. The revision of the document, prepared for consideration in the second reading, provides for the taxpayer's return of money not only on themselves but also on their minor children. It relates to paying for the services of sports clubs, fitness. It will be possible to return up to 15.6 thousand rubles a year.

As noted by the deputy chairman of the State Assembly of the republic, Rustam Ishmukhametov, the new initiative will make sports more accessible.

Earlier, the legislative initiative of the State Assembly did not find support at the federal level. At the same time, in January 2021, the State Duma adopted a law partially duplicating this proposal.

"In particular, benefits are provided to employers when paying for sanatorium-resort treatment to employees," Rustam Ishmukhametov added. "Now a mechanism is being developed to increase the availability of sports. Our proposed option would still be preferable for citizens. However, in any case, it is good that the problem is being solved, regardless of which draft law ultimately acquires the status of law. Physical education and sports should be accessible to everyone."
