813 children's IT and human sciences education centers will be created in Bashkiria

The Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov called the formation of a modern educational environment an important task facing the region now. He stated this on Thursday during the announcement of his annual Address to the Republican Parliament.

As he noted, schools and kindergartens are being actively built in Bashkiria, and private kindergartens are receiving the necessary support.

"2020 has become a record year in terms of the kindergartens' construction in the region. We have built 25 of them," the Head of the Republic said. "Besides, we are now creating new centers of attraction for the children. Over the past two years, 175 "Growth Points" were opened in all districts and cities - IT and human sciences education centers with the latest equipment. By 2024, there will be 813 of them - this is the largest number among Russian regions. In such centers, children master digital technologies, learn to work in a team, prepare to participate in competitions and Olympiads."

According to Khabirov, Bashkiria proudly took up the baton of the WorldSkills national championship "Young Professionals". The final of this championship will take place in the republic this year.

As Radiy Khabirov emphasized in his Address to deputies, despite the challenging year due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, the number of graduates who passed the exam for 100 points reached 127 people against 111 in 2019.
