Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to declare the upcoming 2021 the Year of Science and Technology.

“Today, at the site of the Board of Trustees of Moscow State University, a world-class university of which we are all proud, I would like to propose to declare the upcoming year 2021 - the Year of Science and Technology in Russia,” the president stated at a meeting of the Board of Trustees of Moscow State University on December 24.

Recall that in early December, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree following a competitive selection of research and educational centers that will receive federal support. One of them will be located in Ufa.
