Radiy Khabirov presented state awards to republican doctors on Bashkortostan Constitution Day

Today, on the Constitution Day of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov presented state awards of Russia and the republic to medical professionals. He marked that residents express their deep gratitude to doctors and nurses for their steadfastness and determination. According to him this year, the pandemic that had covered the whole world reminded us of the special importance of the medical profession, of their high mission - to save people's health and lives.

"The health care system of the republic not only was able to withstand all the challenges but also increased its power, became more effective. In record time, we have built COVID hospitals in Zubovo and Sterlitamak. Now, this thoughtful, successful project is being adopted by other regions as well," the Radiy Khabirov said.

In Bashkortostan this year, despite all the difficulties, the construction of a hospice, a children's oncology, and hematology centers has begun. The construction of a new building of the Republican Cardiology Center, a polyclinic of the Kuvatov Republican Clinical Hospital, is underway, a surgical complex for an oncological dispensary, and 120 rural health stations have been opened.

"We are grateful to the President of our country and the Russian Government. Bashkortostan this year received almost 100 billion rubles in aid from the federal budget. We directed them to increase the bed capacity for patients with the coronavirus, purchase medicines, protective equipment, payments to doctors, and other important social goals. Bashkortostan was among the first to start vaccinating the population, primarily doctors. About 1,000 doctors, more than 600 nurses are now in hospitals at the forefront of the fight against COVID. Many students - interns went on duty to the Ufa hospitals and worked as anti-COVID inspectors. About 8 thousand doctors have undergone special training and are now ready to start treating coronavirus patients at any time. Our dear doctors. Please accept my deepest gratitude. Nine doctors of the republic were awarded the Pirogov Order today, six doctors received the honorary title "Honored Doctor of Bashkortostan", and four more became "Honored Health Workers". There are 37 names in the list of awardees.
