Skoltech Rector: we will succeed based on potential of Bashkir universities

The project to create a world-class Eurasian Research and Educational Center in Ufa has enormous potential, says Alexander Kuleshov, rector of the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech).

"We know well the state of science and education in Bashkiria and Ufa, particularly; we have known each other for a long time. Given the fact that one of the main Skolkovo criteria is regional development, it was really a difficult choice for us. The choice of a region with which we would develop together, a region in which, first of all, there would be a substantial, serious base and support of the local leadership, to create a truly international center. I am confident that with our help and based on the potential that Bashkir universities and research institutes have, we will succeed," Kuleshov said.

Recall that earlier Radiy Khabirov and Alexander Kuleshov signed an agreement between the Government RB, the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, and Bashkortostan's educational organizations on the creation of a Consortium of universities of the Eurasian Research and Educational Center of the world level.
