Infection center project in Sterlitamak can become model for other countries

The best infectious disease center in terms of equipment and treatment technology is being built in Sterlitamak. This statement was made by the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria, Andrei Nazarov. On November 4, he visited the construction site and assured the republic residents that the hospital would receive the first patients, as planned, on December 1.

“There will be 74 boxes, 14 intensive care units. In the event of an emergency, medical care can be rendered to 382 patients at the same time, ” said Andrei Nazarov.

Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that the project includes a children's and maternity department. And the admission unit will accept patients whose final diagnosis has not yet been established. Also, the Sterlitamak Infection Center will have a surgical department, where doctors will perform operations on patients with COVID-19 and other infections. There is also a 40-bed dormitory for medical professionals.

“The project that we are building here has found support from the Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko. He recommended other regions of the country to take our project as a basis. Therefore, already in seven constituent entities of Russia, hospitals are being built according to our project, or our Bashkortostan builders help them in constructing them, for example, in Chelyabinsk," Andrei Nazarov said.

“When the Sterlitamak center is built, we will be able to share our project not only with other subjects of Russia but also other countries. There is something to show, and there is something to promote at the international level, ” the Prime Minister of the Bashkiria government stressed.
