Kyrgyzstan citizens stuck in Bashkiria have begun to be sent home

1,700 Kyrgyz citizens who spent more than ten days in Bashkortostan awaiting the opening of a transit corridor through Kazakhstan are leaving for their homeland today. Due to a large number of Kyrgyz citizens in the Orenburg region and Bashkortostan, the crossing of the Russian-Kazakh border and their transportation will be organized in two stages on September 24 and 25. In the Kuyurgazinsky district, buses started to depart early in the morning.
The head of the municipal administration, Yulai Ilyasov, told the Bashinform News Agency that this process was duly organized, the convoy would be accompanied by traffic police vehicles.
The citizens of Kyrgyzstan thanked the leadership of the republic, the administration, and residents of the Kuyurgazinsky district for their help and support in difficult times.
According to the State Committee for Emergency Situations of Bashkortostan, the transit corridor for the passage of Kyrgyz citizens has been organized since 6 am. The republic allocated additional nine buses to transport people from temporary accommodation shelters to the border with Kazakhstan.
“Today it is planned to take all 1,667 citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who have been in temporary accommodation centers of the republic since September 16, to the border with Kazakhstan and then send them on Kazakh buses to their homeland - Kyrgyzstan,” Farit Gumerov, chairman of the State Committee for Emergency Situations commented on the issue.
