Prosecutor General's Office forwarded materials on BSC shares alienation to Investigative Committee

The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia checked the legality of the alienation of state shares in Bashkir Soda Company.

During the check, violations of the legislation on privatization and facts of malpractice were revealed. The materials were sent to the Investigative Committee of Russia to consider the issue of initiating a criminal case against officials of regional authorities.

“The transfer of rights to the named property complexes was made against the will of the Russian Federation. In order to protect the interests of the state, the General Prosecutor's Office has filed a claim to the Arbitration Court of the Republic of Bashkortostan to reclaim property from someone else's illegal possession,” the press service of the Russian General Prosecutor’s Office reports.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin instructed to check the legality of the transfer of state shares to private owners.
