Radiy Khabirov will once again meet with Kushtau defenders

On Friday, August 21, the Head of the Republic will meet with activists and defenders of Shikhan (Mount) Kushtau.

“In the morning, the Chief of Staff, Alexander Sidyakin, called me, we discussed the meeting. It will take place on Friday, at 4 pm,” Urad Baybulatov, the head of the coordination group of Kushtau activists posted on his Instagram.

Last Sunday, the Head of the Republic arrived at Mount Kushtau, where a conflict flared up between the Bashkir Soda Company and a group of activists opposing the industrial exploitation of the mountain. The Head of the Region managed to agree with all parties to end the clashes and leave the mountain. Radiy Khabirov promised that no one would enter the mountain until some compromise solution was found.

The first meeting with eco-activists and Human Rights Council members took place on Monday evening.
