Interregional Radionuclide Therapy Center will be built in Ufa

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, held another online thematic meeting in the “Investment Hour” format, at which, in particular, the construction of an Interregional Radionuclide Therapy Center was approved in Ufa.

The project was presented by Alexander Shibanov, General Director of Rusatom Healthcare. The company is implementing an investment program to create a network of centers for the diagnosis and treatment of malignant neoplasms, diseases of the endocrine, cardiovascular and nervous systems in the regions of Russia. The volume of investments exceeds 1.2 billion rubles.

As the main treatment technology, the administration of radiopharmaceuticals into the human body is used for the direct effect of isotopes on pathological foci in tissues and organs.

With the opening of the center in 2023, the region will also receive a modern educational and technical base for advanced training of specialists, as well as conducting clinical trials of promising Russian-made radiopharmaceuticals.

The “Investment Hour” participants approved the inclusion of the project in the priority list. Besides, the Head of Bashkortostan instructed the Government of the republic and the administration of Ufa to assist the company in selecting a land plot for the center construction.
